How we verify the facts

Pes na dopustu is run by a single animal lover — not an editorial team or an agency. Rather than playing at being a big brand, it is better to be honest about where the data comes from and what the "Verified" date actually means.

Where the data comes from

I verify every entry with a web search of official sources — the provider’s website, tourist boards, official price lists. Blogs and forums are fine as a starting point, but never the only source. When sources disagree (say, two different dog fees), I use the more official one; if it cannot be resolved reliably, I would rather leave the fact vague (e.g. "fee per price list") than guess a number.

A field the source does not explicitly state (fee, size limit, leash) stays empty. A wrong rule on a page people use to plan a trip with their dog does more harm than a missing fact.

What "Verified" means

The date next to each place says when I last checked the facts against the source — not that I physically visited that day. Once the date is more than a year old, the badge turns red: a signal that things may have changed since the last check.

What you can do

If you spot a wrong or outdated fact, use the "Spotted outdated info? Let us know." link at the bottom of each entry. I read every message myself.
