Dogs are allowed in Plitvice Lakes National Park but may not roam freely – park rules require them to be on a leash at all times so they don’t disturb or harm other visitors. Swimming is not allowed anywhere in the park (dogs included), and you must stay on the marked paths. The park is open all year; from November to March the ticket is cheapest (15 € for adults) and crowds are minimal, though the wooden boardwalks can be icy in winter.
