A family-run Istrian restaurant set among pines in Valbandon, between Fažana and Pula, known for traditional Istrian dishes, truffles and its own olive oil. The South Istria tourist board includes it in its list of dog-friendly venues. The large shaded garden under the pines is far more comfortable for a dog in summer than the indoor rooms, and the tables are far enough apart to leave room at your feet. Booking is all but essential in summer — mention your dog when you do. Fažana’s waterfront and the ferry to Brijuni are a few minutes’ drive away.
