The Ribno Alpine Hotel stands in Ribno, a good two kilometres from Lake Bled, in quiet green surroundings away from the summer crush on the promenade. The hotel states on its own website that pets are not allowed in the glamping units and are accepted in the hotel only by prior arrangement and with a compulsory surcharge paid on site — so call ahead and announce your dog before booking. A pleasant path leads to the lake through fields and along the Sava Bohinjka, which is a more relaxed morning and evening walk than the loop around the lake. The hotel is a good base for visiting the Vintgar Gorge or Bled Castle with a dog.
