A walk along the embankments of Strunjan Landscape Park past the Stjuža lagoon (the only lagoon in Slovenia), where you can watch herons, gulls and plovers, and in autumn purple salt-loving plants colour the embankments. The route can be shortened or extended across parts of the park and suits less mobile dogs too. Entry to the park is free (the beach car park is paid); stay on the main paths and don’t disturb the birds; summer heat with no shade is less suitable.
