In Umag, according to the Istria Tourist Board, dogs are allowed on all the beaches inside the Park Umag, Finida, Kanegra, Stella Maris and Savudrija campsites. Stella Maris lies north of the town, beside the tennis centre and a long rocky shore with a promenade that stretches towards Umag and is rewarding for a morning walk. The campsite is lively in summer and well equipped, with pitches shaded by pines. Before booking, check whether your chosen accommodation unit accepts dogs and what the supplement is, as the rules differ between unit types.
