Camp Bohinj, formerly called Zlatorog, lies in Ukanc at the western end of Lake Bohinj, below the slopes of Triglav National Park. Dogs are welcome and the price list carries no dog supplement — in every seasonal period the dog line is listed as free. Because the campsite is inside the national park, dogs must be leashed at all times. Note one thing about swimming: Ukanc is one of the two designated bathing-water areas (the other is Fužinarski zaliv) where the municipal decree bans animals from swimming, so head for shoreline outside the bathing area. Bring tick protection too — the surroundings are wooded and damp.
