Savica Waterfall (Bohinj)

Verified: 22/08/2026

Leashleash required

Savica Waterfall at the head of the Bohinj valley is one of the most visited spots in Triglav National Park; a steep stepped path leads to the viewpoint and is not suitable for pushchairs. On the waterfall’s own page the Bohinj tourist board answers directly that pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times for safety and to protect nature. Swimming at the waterfall is not allowed and access to the pool below it is closed. There is a mountain hut near the car park for refreshments.
