Strunjan Dog Beach

One of the few officially permitted beaches for swimming with dogs on the Slovenian coast lies in Strunjan bay by the old fishing pier, not far from the Pinija restaurant. Dogs are not allowed at the managed bathing area in Strunjan, so stick with your dog to this section and to the part of the beach inside the Strunjan campsite. The entry into the water is natural, partly sandy and partly stony, so water shoes are welcome for owners too. Bring your dog on a leash, keep it under control and pick up its waste — fines for violations in the Municipality of Piran are high.
