Plaža Galeb – plaža za pse (Omiš)

Galeb beach in Omiš appears on the dog beach list of the Prijatelji životinja association. It is a shingle beach fringed with pines, right by the mouth of the Cetina and close to the town centre, with food and drink nearby plus public showers and toilets. Dog beaches in Dalmatia are marked with a “plaža za pse” sign and equipped with waste bins; under current rules the dog must be leashed, and the owner must clean up after it and rinse the spot. The pine shade is a real advantage in summer, as the shingle gets very hot during the day.
