Podvrške on the island of Murter appears on the dog beach list of the Prijatelji životinja association. It lies not far from the village of Murter, on the shore facing the Kornati, and is more natural than managed — a shingle-and-rock shore with low vegetation and no food or drink. That means peace even in high season, but also that you bring food, water and a parasol yourself. Murter is the gateway for trips into Kornati National Park, where you should check the dog rules with your boat operator, as they differ. Keep your dog leashed and clean up after it.
