Marlera Peninsula (Ližnjan)

An unspoilt peninsula with a lighthouse on the south-eastern edge of Istria near Ližnjan, which the Istrian tourist board recommends for picnics and walks with a dog. Gravel paths lead through low coastal vegetation to a rocky shore with numerous small coves where, outside the managed beaches, swimming is also possible. Nearby there is also the St Stephen educational trail on the Monte Madonna hill. There is no shade and no drinking water — bring enough liquid for your dog.
