The Tolmin Gorges are the lowest entry point into Triglav National Park: a loop trail leads through the gorges of the Tolminka and Zadlaščica to their confluence, past a thermal spring and the wedged boulder called the Bear’s Head, and over the Devil’s Bridge. According to the Soča Valley tourist board, pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times; bring bags to clean up. Under the 2026 timetable the gorges are open until 15 November from 9:00 to 15:00, from 16 November to 13 December from 9:00 to 14:00, then closed until March; they also close in storms or high water. Tickets are for people and entry is limited, so buy one in advance.
