The island of Lošinj is considered one of the leading dog destinations in Kvarner, with eight marked dog beaches. In Mali Lošinj one of them lies on the shore between Veli žal beach (where dogs are not allowed) and Rt Madona, near Sunčana uvala. The beaches are marked with a “Dogs Allowed” sign; on the neighbouring main beaches (Veli žal, Čikat, Borik) dogs are not permitted.
