According to the Kvarner Tourist Board, the town of Cres has three dog beaches: by the Kovačine campsite, by the ACI marina and by the village of Gavza. The section beside the marina is closest to the town centre, which makes it handy if you are in Cres without a car — your dog can walk there with you rather than being driven. The shore is rocky and concreted, with an entry into deeper water, and shade comes from the occasional tree along the promenade. As the marina is a working area, keep your dog leashed until you reach the section where swimming is allowed.
