Kaštelina beach in Lopar in the north of the island of Rab is the best equipped of the four Lopar beaches that accept dogs (alongside Podpećin, Podraposta and Zad Vele Stene) — it has a dog shower and waste bins. There is little shade, so the tourist board advises bringing a parasol or canvas cover, a towel and toys, as dogs cope poorly with the heat.
