San Polo and Colone beaches near Bale are pebble-and-rock shores in the middle of an unspoilt stretch of Istrian coast, which the Istrian tourist board lists among the beaches with sections suitable for dogs. The area is wild and sparsely built up, with no conventional beach infrastructure — bring a parasol, water for your dog and footwear for the rocks. Access is via the gravel road from Bale towards the sea.
