Škaraba is a beach at a former quarry in the Zlatni rt (Punta Corrente) forest park south of Rovinj and, according to the Istria Tourist Board, is one of the Rovinj beaches with marked sections where dogs may stay and swim. Access is on foot or by bike along the park paths, which means no car traffic but also no facilities — bring food and water. The rocky shore with a deep entry into the sea suits dogs that already swim well. Keep your dog leashed inside the park, as the paths are popular with runners and cyclists.
