According to the town tourist board, Poreč has more than ten stretches of coast where swimming with a dog is allowed, and the dog beach list of the Prijatelji životinja association names the Plava Laguna area south of the old town among them. The shore here is rocky and concreted, with steps into the sea and pines for shade — an easier entry for a dog than a high rocky ledge. Watch for the signs: in Poreč swimming with a dog is allowed only on specially marked sections of beach, and dogs have no access to Blue Flag beaches.
