Gavza is a settlement north of the town of Cres and the site of one of the three Cres dog beaches on the Kvarner Tourist Board’s list. Compared with the section by the marina it is far quieter — a natural rock-and-shingle shore with no food or drink on offer, so bring water for your dog and yourself. The sea here is exceptionally clean, as it is along the whole west coast of Cres. Reach the beach by car on the local road from the town of Cres; in summer it pays to arrive early, as parking space is scarce.
