Tmbin’s Barn is a small holiday cottage in a renovated old Karst house in Povir, 11 km from Lipica: bathroom, kitchen and dining area downstairs, sleeping area upstairs. The cottage sits right at the edge of the forest, with plenty of hiking and cycling trails starting from the door, which makes it ideal with a dog in autumn. The Visit Kras tourist board lists it with the label “Pets welcome”, and it is open every day of the year by prior reservation. The page gives no dog fee, so check it when booking. Twenty metres away is Gostilna Pri Hribu, which also welcomes dogs.
