Lake Bled has no purpose-built dog beach, but it does have enough accessible shoreline for a dog to cool off. Bled’s official tourism website states that dogs may take a dip in the lake outside the official bathing areas — so not at the Castle Lido, Velika and Mala Zaka, or the private beaches. All around the lake dogs must be on a leash and under control; bins with waste bags are placed along the lakeside path. The promenade is crowded in summer, so early morning or late afternoon is the calmest time for a swim. Rinse your dog with clean water afterwards and don’t let it lick algae-covered shore rocks.
