Dogs are welcome on Bled Island. Bled’s official tourism website says your dog may join you on a pletna boat if the other passengers agree — the boatmen carry groups, so it is worth arranging in advance or waiting for a less busy crossing. On the island your dog may join you on all the outdoor areas, meaning the 99 steps, the plateau in front of the church and the shoreline, but not inside the Church of the Assumption. The Potičnica terrace on the island is a pleasant stop for coffee while the dog rests in the shade. Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times; on the pletna, keep yours close on a short leash.
