Risnjak National Park (Crni Lug)

Verified: 22/07/2026

Leashleash required, free movement not allowed

This forested national park in Gorski kotar is a pleasant escape from the summer heat on the Kvarner coast — from the Bijela Vodica entrance near Crni Lug, the marked Leska educational trail leads through the park, and further on there is the climb to Veliki Risnjak. Dogs are welcome in the park but must be on a leash at all times; free movement is not allowed, as this is a protected area with large carnivores and sensitive plant life. The entrance fee is charged according to the park’s current price list, and bring enough water with you, as drinking sources along the trail are scarce.
