The Kvarner Tourist Board lists the beach below Villa Frappart in Lovran among its dog beaches. It sits right beside the famous Art Nouveau villa above the Lungomare coastal promenade linking Volosko and Opatija with Lovran — so the beach is reachable on foot along the promenade, without hunting for parking. The shore is shingle and rock, with pines and laurels providing some shade. As it is a narrow section in the middle of a very busy promenade, it is worth coming outside peak hours; keep your dog leashed on the promenade, which is full of walkers and runners in summer.
