Slatina is Opatija’s central beach, just below the town core and beside the Lungomare promenade, and the dog beach list of the Prijatelji životinja association names it as an Opatija location where dogs are welcome. The shore is concreted, with ladders and steps into the sea, which makes for an easy entry even for larger dogs that dislike jumping off rocks. All the town’s amenities are nearby, which is practical but also means big crowds in summer. The Kvarner Tourist Board also lists Punta Kolova between Opatija and Ičići as an Opatija dog beach, and that is the quieter option.
