Swimming with a dog is allowed at Sv. Jernej beach and on part of the beach within the Adria Ankaran complex (eastern section, no lifeguards — swimming at your own risk). There are dog showers and waste stations at the Adria beach and by the tourist information centre. Dogs may also be taken to the Valdoltra, Sv. Katarina, Študent and Debeli rtič beaches, though swimming is not allowed there.
