Peričnik Waterfall (Vrata Valley)

Verified: 22/08/2026

Leashleash required

This two-tier waterfall in the glacial Vrata valley above Mojstrana is a short but steep climb from the car park; a path runs behind the curtain of water under the lower fall, where the rock is wet and slippery. The waterfall lies in Triglav National Park, where dogs must be on a leash in the natural environment and letting them swim in high-mountain lakes and streams is not allowed. The path is shaded and cool even in summer.
