The Vintgar Gorge near Bled is one of the few Slovenian gorges where dogs are explicitly welcome. Your dog needs its own Vintgar Gorge visit ticket, priced at 3 € on the official price list (adults 15 €, children under 15 5 €). Dogs must be leashed throughout, you must clean up after them, and a muzzle is compulsory on the VINTGAR Shuttle e-bus. The operator recommends visiting with pets in the morning or after 3 p.m., when the 1,600 metres of wooden walkways are less crowded — the path is narrow and exposed in places, so a short leash is far more practical than a flexi. The gorge is open from April to October; buy tickets online in advance.
